We completed this decorative mill work in a new home built in the
Craftsman style. The design consists of two Tapered Columns
with 40" high Cabinetry on either side. The cabinets have mortise &
tenon glass doors with two panes over one pattern consistent with the Craftsman
style. There are glass shelves on the inside. The customer
chose Hand Hammered Copper door pulls. All the wood is Solid Cherry and
blends seamlessly into the arts and crafts motif of the home.
This architectural millwork spans across the Entrance Hallway
entering into a great room area in a Craftsman style home. All made
of Solid Cherry Wood and finished in a satin finish to match the stair rail and
other woodwork in the home.
This is a Vanity built in the Greene & Greene style. It is made from Honduras
Mahogany with Ebony pegs and splines. The case work is made of Birch plywood and
the drawers are solid poplar dovetailed to Mahogany fronts
The client here asked us to fit numerous different concepts and components into
a small corner of their living room. Behind the lower doors below the
glass doors are two slide out drawers, one to house an album collection, the
other for a turntable. The large central opening was custom fit for a new flat
screen. The unit was wired for a surround system with the base boom box tucked
behind the nook shelves on the right ( see holes in back of shelves in picture
4)
We completed the two
bookcases, fireplace mantel, crown molding and baseboard in this "Fireside Room"
in a local church. The cabinetry is made from birch plywood and clear pine and
is stained in a dark
brown walnut color with a hand rubbed satin finish.
These pictures show work done on two different homes. All
of the Trim,
Flooring, Mantels, Tile around fireplace and Built-ins were designed,
fabricated, and Installed by R. S. Trump Designs.
The owners of this 1990's home sitting
in a suburban neighborhood with other homes of similar style were desiring to do
something different on the interior to make their home unique. We
custom made all of the interior trim and cabinetry in the home starting with a
60" high recessed paneling throughout the living room and entrance hallway.
We added 5" high casings and 10" baseboards. The family room has a
built-in media center to house the TV/DVD and books. All of the woodwork
is painted with a cream color finish to keep the home light and airy. We
complemented the white woodwork by installing a cinnamon stained oak floor.
These are some examples of millwork in a Period Home that
required a look that gave the impression of it always having been there. The
Banister was copied from the stairway in the front of the house and placed in
this location were the home owners had opened up some walls for a larger space
feel and needed some protection at the stairs
This built-in Entertainment Center was custom designed and built to a
specific set of needs the client had. The etched sliding glass doors are labeled for quick access to different
storage areas. There are 16 drawers for their large DVD collection and of course the custom sizing of the Flat Screen
opening ( color selection by owner to match existing trim paint)
